Local recipients were given nine houses in GK Marsh And McLennan Village in 2015. Farming is the residents' primary source of income. This modest community is situated in Sitio Katagbakan, Conception, Dumalag, Capiz. It is located in an elevated region of Dumalag, Capiz, and is 3,727 sq. m. The distance between the GK Village and the town centre is just about 14 kilometres (or 8.7 miles). The road leading to this community was paved in 2018–2019 with the help of the local government unit of the municipality. Transportation going to the town is now passable.
One of the community's necessities is water. Residents of GK Dumalag have been hoping for a reliable and consistent water supply for nearly six years. The locals in this community don’t have enough sources of water. During the rainy season, they have plenty of water supply; however, in the drought season, the water source dries up, leaving them with no supply. They have to dig a groundwater well, which they use for watering plants in their garden and for other household activities. They have to go to the neighbouring site to fetch the water they use for drinking and cooking. Hence, they want to find another water source to supply all year round.
The community's constant difficulty is ensuring a constant and reliable supply of water. The source must be enhanced to have a reliable water supply.
Help us construct a steady water supply for the villagers of GK Dumalag in Conception Capiz to ease the burden of acquiring water. The new and upgraded water source will alleviate their difficulty obtaining water for their daily needs.

One of the challenges that residents encountered was the distance between the water source and the jet pump, and it was necessary to adjust the position of one unit jet pump for the water to flow. It caused some delays in the construction of the community water system. Despite this, the residents showed resilience and determination throughout the situation. The Bayani Challenge volunteers were able to lend a helping hand and successfully install the water system.
We are immensely grateful for all the efforts put into making this project a reality. It is truly heartwarming to see the impact we can make when we come together for a common goal.
